Today, we filed a lawsuit against Columbia University.
For months, a congressional committee has been pressuring universities to turn over private student records—records that can be weaponized against students who dare to speak out for Palestine.
Columbia complied.
Now, Mahmoud Khalil, a lawful U.S. resident and one of Columbia’s own students has been detained by ICE—without charges, without explanation. And he’s not the only one at risk.
Columbia’s decision to cooperate with this political witch hunt puts hundreds of students in danger of government retaliation, doxxing, and harassment. That’s why Mahmoud, along with other Columbia and Barnard students, just sued their own university—to stop this reckless betrayal of student privacy before more lives are upended.
That’s why we are taking Columbia to court.
Because if Columbia can be pressured into handing over disciplinary records to the government, no student is safe.
This is not an isolated case.
This Could Be Your Child. Your Rights. Your Future.
Across the country, we are seeing an unprecedented crackdown on free speech, academic freedom, and basic civil rights:
- Students are being suspended for speaking out against genocide.
- Muslim workers are losing their jobs for supporting Palestine.
- Muslim travelers are facing interrogations, searches, and secret government watchlists.
- Muslim women are having their hijabs forcibly removed during arrests.
And yet, we are fighting back. Harder than ever.
Your Support Fuels This Fight
Imagine if your child’s university handed over their private records to the government, putting their future at risk.
Imagine if your job was threatened because you spoke out against injustice.
Imagine if you were placed on a government watchlist—simply for being Muslim.
This is not a hypothetical. It is happening now.
We need you in this fight.
Donate today to stand with us. Together, we will ensure that no one is left to fight alone.
