The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today said that President Trump is acting like a “hostage of Benjamin Netanyahu” after the far-right Israeli government used American weapons to slaughter 183 Palestinian children in just 36 hours, destroying the ceasefire agreement that President Trump brokered and triggering the risk of further regional conflict, all so that Netanyahu can maintain political power.
Israel also reportedly killed 94 women and 34 elderly people in that same time period.

Yesterday, CAIR said the Trump administration must “stop this madness” as Israel has slaughtered more than 400 people in Gaza, mostly women and children, since it broke the existing ceasefire during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
Since the restart of the Gaza genocide, Yemen has fired missiles at Israel, the Trump administration has launched numerous attacks on Yemen, and has also threatened to attack Iran, raising prospects of a regional war.

In a statement, CAIR said:
“President Trump is acting like a hostage of Benjamin Netanyahu by letting that corrupt politician and indicted war criminal use American weapons to slaughter hundreds of Palestinian civilians, risk killing Israeli captives still held in Gaza, and drag our nation closer to an all-out regional war.
“Netanyahu does not care about anything but keeping the war on Gaza going so that he can keep his cabinet intact, maintain political power and avoid going to jail. President Trump must start acting like the President of the United States and start pursuing an America First foreign policy, not bowing to the whims of Netanyahu and his racist, genocidal, war mongering government.”
CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
La misión de CAIR es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
