CAIR-NJ Rep to Speak at Princeton University’s Students for Justice in Palestine Press Conference

On Monday, April 7, a representative of the New Jersey chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NJ) plans to speak at a news conference to voice opposition to an event held the Center for Jewish Life at Princeton University featuring former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.

Bennett’s visit is part of his tour across North American campuses, including Harvard, Columbia, and Yale, which coincides with the deportations, detainments, and disappearances of students at these same campuses spearheaded by the Trump administration for protesting the US-backed Israeli genocide on the Palestinian people.

Last month at his most recent talk at Harvard University, Bennett joked to hundreds of people about sending explosive devices to dissenting event attendees. The comment was an apparently referencing the September Israeli attacks on Lebanon and Syria, where Israel detonated thousands of handheld pagers and walkie talkies among civilians originally intended for members of the Lebanese group Hezbollah.

Bennett: ‘I’ve Killed Lots Of Arabs In My Life And There’s No Problem With That’

WHAT: News conference followed by rally

WHEN: Monday, April 7, 11 a.m. ET

WHERE: Ficus Café, 235 Nassau Street, Princeton, NJ

WHO: CAIR-NJ, a New Jersey doctor who volunteered in a Gaza hospital, former Gaza professor who witnessed his university get leveled Israeli airstrikes, among other speakers who will share personal stories.
