On Monday, June 9, the Greater Los Angeles Area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-LA), along with California Immigrant Policy Center, South Asian Network, Immigrant Defenders Law Center, and VietRISE, will protest President Trump’s new expanded travel ban at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
CAIR-LA recently called the ban, which targets 19 mostly Muslim and African nations and raises the specter of more vague ideological screening tests on immigrants, “unnecessary, overbroad, and ideologically motivated.”
