The Council on American-Islamic Relations commended Ms. Prejean Boller, saying she used her previous post on the commission to “support religious freedom for all people and oppose all forms of religious bigotry.”

CAIR: Right-Wing Catholic Off Trump Religion Panel After Israel-Gaza Remarks at Antisemitism Event – Common Dreams

The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) commended Prejean Boller Wednesday “for using her position to oppose conflating criticism of Israel with antisemitism and encourage solidarity between Muslims, Christians, and Jews,” calling her “one of a growing number of Americans, including political conservatives, who recognize that corrupted politicians have been trying to silence and smear Americans critical of the Israeli government under the guise of countering antisemitism.”

CAIR: Candidates instill fear – Austin American-Statesman

U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, and Texas Sens. Mayes Middleton and Charles Schwertner are Republicans running for office, and have ads that are misleading and untruthful.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is not a terrorist organization and no one is trying to instill Sharia law.

This is shameful fear mongering aimed at gullible voters and Christians.

We are a nation of secular laws and have the freedom to worship whatever deity one chooses.

John Nugent, Georgetown

In a statement, CAIR-AL Staff Attorney Britton O’Shields said:

“We join other civil rights groups, the daughter of the victim, and the jurors who oversaw Mr. Charles Burton’s case in calling on the State of Alabama to grant him clemency.

“Although Mr. Burton was involved in an armed robbery in 1991, he did not personally harm anyone and he has paid dearly for his crime spending the last 35 years of his life behind bars. Mr. Burton poses no threat to public safety and serves as a mentor to others at his facility…”
