In a statement, organizers said:

“After hearing the devastating news about the tragic shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego, many Muslims across North America are grieving.

“We mourn alongside our brothers and sisters in the San Diego community. At the same time, many of us are carrying complicated feelings of fear, anxiety, and uncertainty.

‘Could this happen in my community?’

‘How do I talk to my children about this? Should I talk to them at all?’

‘Are we safe?’

“In response, we invite you to join experts from Maristan, Noor Kids, CAIR-San Diego, CAIR-National, Sukoon and AMALY for Healing Together: Responding to the San Diego Tragedy.

“This virtual gathering is designed for Muslim adults seeking guidance, grounding, and support in the wake of this tragedy. Together, we will explore how to navigate fear, stress, and uncertainty through faith, community care, and practical tools for families.”

The event will be held on Thursday, May 21st at 6:00 PM PST. Registration is free, and a replay will be sent to all families who register.
