ACTION ALERT: CAIR Urges Support for August 28 White House Vigil to Defend DACA, Save TPS, Reject the Muslim Ban

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 8/24/18) — On Monday, August 28, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) will join the New York Immigration Coalition, and other civil liberties and immigrant rights activists in front of the White House to demand justice for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Temporary Protection Status (TPS) recipients. Rally participants will also call on President Trump to rescind his discriminatory and unconstitutional “Muslim ban” in the lead up to the October 10 Supreme Court hearing on that issue.

In total, the picketing effort will last 22 days, culminating on September 5, the deadline 10 anti-DACA state attorneys general gave President Trump to terminate the program.
