ALERT: Registration for CAIR’s Banquet is Closing, Only a Handful of Tickets Left

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 10/27/17) – Registration for CAIR’s 23rd annual banquet on Saturday, October 28, at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Va., will close at 7 p.m., and there are only a handful of tickets remaining. No tickets will be sold at the door.


With the theme “Living Our Faith: Defending Freedom,” CAIR’s banquet will feature a number of nationally-known speakers and awardees, including:

  • Imam Suhaib Webb
  • Arizona U.S. Senate Candidate Deedra Abboud
  • Azhar Azeez, President of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA)
  • Former Standing Rock Tribal Chairman David Archambault II
  • Masrur Javed Khan, president of the Islamic Society of Greater Houston, who will receive CAIR’s “Muslim of the Year Award” for his leadership in hurricane relief efforts
  • The surviving hero and relatives of the two men who gave their lives in defense of others in Oregon
  • CAIR “Lifetime Achievement Award” recipient Dr. Sulayman S. Nyang
  • CAIR “Defender of Liberty Award” to David S. Chin, Attorney General of Hawaii and Bob Ferguson, Attorney General of Washington State
  • Comedian Jeremy McLellan

Each attendee at CAIR’s annual banquet will also receive a sample of a new satirical “anti-Muslim ban” product.

Babysitting is available for children ages 3 to 12. No children under 13 are permitted in the hall.  Babysitting is $20 per child.

Special guest check-in for babysitting:

We will have a special check-in service for you this year. Go directly to the Rosslyn room, which is on the first floor to the left of the hotel’s front desk when you come in the main hotel entrance. You will be able to both drop off your children and get checked in for the banquet. This should save you time as you will avoid having to pass through security twice.


Early arrival is strongly encouraged. Parking is available in the underground parking garage. The night of the event self-parking will be available at the discount rate of $12 per car. Spaces are limited. Parking is first come first serve. Additional parking is available at the Crystal City Shops. The Crystal City Shops parking lot can be located by making a left out of the hotel, left on 18th street, go through 1st traffic light, left at the Public Parking sign (Crystal City Shops @1750). Take the elevator to the shops and make a right out of the elevator.  Follow signs to the Marriott Gateway.


From D.C.

  • Take 14st Street South (past the National Mall and Monuments).
  • Follow signs to I-395 South.
  • Take Exit 8C Route 1 South Crystal City/Alexandria.
  • Take 15th Street exit, and turn right at the end of the ramp.
  • Turn left onto South Eads Street.
  • The hotel Is a half a block up on your left.

From Dulles

  • Take I-66 East to Washington.
  • Take Exit 75, Route 100 South to Pentagon/Alexandria.
  • Follow 110 South for approximately 2 miles.
  • Follow signs to Rout 1 South to Alexandria.
  • Take 15th Street exit, and turn right at the end of the ramp.
  • Turn left onto South Eads Street.
  • The hotel in half a block up on your left.

From BWI

  • Take I-95 South to Washington.
  • Follow I-95 across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge into Virginia.
  • Take the 177-B exit off the bridge (the first exit in Virginia) Route 1 North/Alexandria.
  • Follow Route 1 North for approximately 6 miles.
  • Just past the exit for National Airport, turn left onto 23rd Street.
  • Make the next right onto South Eads Street.
  • The hotel is two blocks up on your right.
