Three scholars in religious studies will present an interfaith discussion, “The Clash of Religious Certainties: Understanding Ancient Texts Anew in a Contemporary World,” at 7 p.m. Tuesday in McDaniel Lounge at McDaniel College.
The discussion will center on the Quran, the New Testament and the Torah.

Panelists are: McDaniel’s Visiting Fulbright Scholar, Muslih Tayo Yahya, professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Jos in Nigeria; the Rev. Dr. Christopher Leighton, executive director of the Institute for Christian and Jewish Studies in Baltimore; and Rabbi Mark Loeb, senior rabbi at Beth El Congregation.
