Islamic artists will be the topic for a presentation at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Gaier Room of the Clark County Public Library, 201 S. Fountain Ave.

Dr. Akber Mohammed, a local cardiologist, will present a program highlighting Islamic artists and their work in music, poetry and calligraphy. Mohammed writes poetry, speaks seven languages and enjoys the art of calligraphy.

This program is sponsored by the Global Education and Peace Network and the Clark County Public Library. The theme of this year’s Global Education Speakers Series is “Global Art Traditions.”
