(ATLANTA, GA, 6/25/2023) – The Georgia chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR-Georgia) today expressed solidarity with the Jewish community after neo-Nazis rallied outside a synagogue.
A handful of people waved Nazi flags and held antisemitic signs in front of the Chabad of Cobb synagogue in East Cobb, Ga., on Saturday. This was reportedly the second recent rally in Georgia by the hate group.

Together, we will stand against this hatred and work toward a future in which every individual can live free from fear and discrimination.”
She said Washington, D.C., based CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.

Mahmood urged faith communities in Georgia to take extra security precautions by using advice offered in CAIR’s booklet, “Best Practices for Mosque and Community Safety.” That advice is applicable to all religious institutions.
She noted that American Muslim institutions have in the past faced similar protests by racists, Islamophobes, white supremacists, and neo-Nazis.
