CAIR Condemns Distribution of Hateful Flyers in Baltimore, Vandalism Targeting Annapolis Church
(BALTIMORE, MD, 6/23/2023) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned both the distribution of hateful flyers in Baltimore, Md., and vandalism targeting a church in Annapolis, Md.
Last week, antisemitic flyers were reportedly discovered in the Sparks Glencoe neighborhood of Baltimore County. Antisemitic and hateful flyers targeting different communities have also appeared throughout the city and county several times over the last few months.

“We denounce the dissemination of these flyers by white supremacist groups that spread bigotry and fear within our communities and hope law enforcement authorities can apprehend the vandals who targeted the Annapolis church,” said CAIR’s Maryland Director Zainab Chaudry. “We stand against all forms of hate speech. It is imperative that we create space in our society for people of all backgrounds to exist safely regardless of their race, religion, or other protected identities.”
She said CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
