(WASHINGTON, D.C., 8/13/21) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, is urging leaders and activists in the Muslim community to share its nationwide survey of American Muslims by posting QR codes to the survey at their local mosque. The purpose of the survey is to better understand the lived experiences of American Muslims 20 years after the September 11, 2001, terror attacks.

Community members have the option of either printing out a word document or a PNG file. You can find the links to the QR code below.

ACTION REQUESTED: Print out QR code to post in mosques, Islamic schools and other institutions. Encourage community members to take the survey.

The survey consists of 20 multiple-choice questions. All responses will be anonymous.

CAIR is also encouraging American Muslims to fill out the survey and to share it with their peers, Muslim organizations, Muslim student groups, and other Islamic institutions.

“As we mark the 20th anniversary of the September 11 terror attacks, it is vital that we assess the different challenges American Muslim communities and the larger society are facing as a result of the events of that day and in the following decades. Based on the results of the survey, we will make recommendations that we hope will address some of those challenges,” said CAIR Research and Advocacy Coordinator Huzaifa Shahbaz.

CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.

La misión de CAIR es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
