CAIR Alert: Rep. Cori Bush, Activist Linda Sarsour to Offer Addresses at Dec. 4 CAIR Annual Gala 

(WASHINGTON D.C., 12/3/2021) – On Saturday, December 4, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, will hold its 27th annual gala featuring addresses by Representative Cori Bush (D-Missouri) and MPower Change Executive Director Linda Sarsour.  

Rep. Bush is currently serving her first term representing Missouri’s 1st Congressional District. She is a community activist, organizer and ordained pastor for the people of St. Louis. She is the first Black woman and first nurse to represent Missouri; the first woman to represent Missouri’s 1st Congressional District; and the first activist from the movement fighting for Black lives elected to the United States Congress. 

Linda Sarsour is the executive director of MPower Change, the nation’s largest Muslim digital advocacy organization. She is an author, award-winning racial justice and civil rights activist, and community organizer. 

The virtual gala’s theme, “Turning the Tide, Building a Just Future,” highlights CAIR’s positive impact on the civil rights of all Americans over the last 27 years and the organization’s shared vision for social justice.
