(PHOENIX, AZ, 10/22/2022) – The Arizona chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-AZ), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the distribution of antisemitic flyers in in Tempe, Ariz.
City officials say the flyers containing “disgusting, bigoted rhetoric, were placed into plastic bags with stones to prevent them from blowing away” were left on front yards and doorsteps of homes in an area southwest of the downtown area.

“We must all speak out strongly whenever any minority community is targeted by hate or when bigotry is promoted by those who seek to divide our society,” said CAIR Arizona Executive Director Azza Abuseif.
Abuseif noted that the Washington, D.C., civil rights organization has repeatedly condemned the distribution of similar hate materials nationwide.
She said CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, and white supremacy.
CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
