CAIR Calls for Wide Distribution of Gaza Genocide Documentary ‘American Doctor’

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today called on streaming platforms in America and worldwide to distribute the new documentary “American Doctor,” which depicts Israel’s genocide in Gaza through the eyes of three American emergency doctors.

The film, directed by Poh Si Teng, has been screening at Sundance this month. It follows three American doctors, Palestinian, Jewish, and Zoroastrian, who enter Gaza to treat the wounded. As the doctors work, they find themselves caught between medicine and politics, risking everything to expose the truth.

In a statement, CAIR National Communications Manager Ismail Allison said:

“This important documentary shows, through the eyes of three heroic Americans, the reality of Israel’s genocide in Gaza. All Americans should see this film. We urge all streaming services in the nation and worldwide to host and promote the film.”

Allison noted that CAIR previously welcomed the nomination of “The Voice of Hind Rajab,” a docudrama about Israel’s killing of a 5-year-old Palestinian girl, for an Oscar. CAIR also urged film companies to platform and distribute the film.
