The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today welcomed the nomination of “The Voice of Hind Rajab,” a docudrama about Israel’s killing of a 5-year-old Palestinian girl, for an Oscar. CAIR also urged film companies to platform and distribute the film.
The film, which follows the Red Crescent response to the killing of Hind Rajab, a five-year-old Palestinian girl, by Israeli forces, was nominated for Best International Feature Film by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Thursday.

In a statement, CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper said:
“We commend the Academy for including The Voice of Hind Rajab among the Oscar nominees for Best International Feature. This nomination is a testament to the importance, impact and quality of this tragic and groundbreaking film. Every American should know the name Hind Rajab and the story of how Hind, her family and paramedics attempting to rescue them were murdered by the Israeli military using weapons funded by our American taxpayer dollars. We encourage all major studios and streaming platforms to pursue the rights to host The Voice of Hind Rajab, which every American should be able to easily view and access.”
