The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today said a new report by the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) that the far-right Israeli government killed more than half (55) of the 104 media professionals killed worldwide this year is a blatant attempt to cover up its genocide of the Palestinian people.
In a statement, CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper said:
“The far-right Israeli government’s murder of journalists in Gaza is a blatant attempt to cover up its genocide, war crimes and human rights abuses. It seems there is no international law the Israeli occupation government will not cross to erase the Palestinian people. The nations of the world can no longer tolerate this rogue state’s barbarism. It is time for the United States and the rest of the international community to force the Israeli government to end its campaign of genocide and terror.”
He noted that CAIR previously condemned the Israeli government’s targeting of journalists.
