The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today called on President Trump to force the Israeli government to stop its escalating violations of the U.S.-brokered ceasefire agreement, including killing the murder of 33 Palestinians yesterday.
Yesterday, Israeli strikes killed at least 33 Palestinians and injured more than 80 across Gaza in one of the deadliest violations of the ceasefire agreement by Israeli forces. 12 children and 8 women were among those killed. Today, a displaced person was killed by Israeli forces outside the so-called yellow line, south of Khan Younis city, according to a Nasser Hospital source speaking to Al Jazeera. Israeli forces advanced beyond the yellow line. Israeli troops also reportedly shot two Palestinian teenagers dead in the Kafr Aqab neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem.

In a statement, CAIR said:
“By killing 33 Palestinian civilians in a single day, the Israeli occupation has made it abundantly clear that it intends to violate President Trump’s ceasefire agreement and kill as many Palestinian civilians as it can get away with killing until President Trump stops them. The Trump administration should demand a real end to the violence and concrete steps to fully reconstruct Gaza under the leadership of a civilian Palestinian government reconnected with the rest of Palestine.”
