The Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-FL) today welcomed charges against a woman who allegedly dumped pork products outside a Muslim-owned market in Port St. Lucie.
A 61-year-old woman was booked in on June 22 at the St. Lucie County jail on a misdemeanor charge of harassment or intimidation based on religious or ethnic heritage after she allegedly dumped pork products outside a Muslim-owned market in Port St. Lucie.
[NOTE: Muslims are prohibited from consuming pork products, and bigots sometimes display the body parts of pigs or pork products outside Muslim institutions based on the mistaken belief that the mere sight of pigs or pork offends Muslim sensibilities.]
