In a statement, CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper said:
“The rise of hate and racism must be opposed by Americans of all backgrounds. No one – and no community – should be subjected to bias-motivated violence, intimidation or harassment. We urge law enforcement nationwide to crack down on racist intimidation and violent hate crimes, and for community leaders to denounce bigotry whenever it appears in their communities.”
He said CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
La misión de CAIR es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
