The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned a deadly attack targeting a Catholic church in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Thirty-four people have been reported dead after the attack on the church in eastern Congo. The attack was reportedly carried out by an ISIS-linked group.

“Slaughtering people in a house of worship is nothing short of pure evil,” said CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper. “We condemn this despicable attack and pray that God grants solace to the survivors and the loved ones of those killed.”
