(WASHINGTON, D.C., 3/2/2023) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the distribution of antisemitic flyers to homes in West Virginia’s Kanawha County.
Residents have reportedly been finding flyers for the past two months. On Feb. 19, South Charleston Police opened an investigation and urged residents that received a flyer to disregard the hate materials.

“This hate propaganda will not intimidate the residents of Kanawha County or any Americans out of opposing antisemitism and other forms of hate,” said CAIR National Communications Coordinator Ismail Allison.
He added that Washington, D.C., based CAIR has condemned a number of similar incidents nationwide.

Allison said CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
La misión de CAIR es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
