(WASHINGTON, D.C., 3/1/2023) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the vandalism of a mural honoring music legend Little Richard in Huntsville, Ala., with racist and neo-Nazi graffiti.
The mural was vandalized with Nazi swastikas and racist and antisemitic messages. Huntsville police are looking for the perpetrator.

“We condemn this hateful act and stand in solidarity with all those who seek a just and inclusive society that is free of bigotry,” said CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper.
He said CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
