CAIR Condemns Distribution of White Supremacist Material at Montana Univ.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the distribution of white supremacist material at Montana State University.

The stickers and flyers were associated with the Big Sky Active Club, a group of neo-Nazi white supremacists.

“We condemn this promotion of neo-Nazi white supremacy and urge community leaders and public officials to repudiate all forms of bigotry,” said CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper. “Silence in the face of racist hate is taken as a sign of acceptance by those who seek to divide our nation.”

He noted that last year, CAIR condemned the distribution of neo-Nazi propaganda CD’s to homes in Miles City, Montana.

Hooper said Washington, D.C., based CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.

CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.

La misión de CAIR es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
