CAIR Condemns Israeli Massacre of 13 Civilians at Gaza Hospital, U.S. ‘Israel First’ Complicity

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the Israeli massacre of at least 13 Palestinians, including women and children, near al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza. Israel has slaughtered at least 83 Palestinians across Gaza so far today. CAIR also condemned the Trump administration’s “Israel First” complicity with Israel’s genocide.

In a statement, CAIR said:

“We condemn in the strongest terms Israel’s deliberate and ongoing slaughter of Palestinian civilians, including this most recent massacre near al-Shifa Hospital. Attacking civilians seeking shelter or medical care is a flagrant violation of international law and basic human decency. The world must not look away as hospitals become battlegrounds and children are targeted.

“We call on the Trump administration to end its ‘Israel First’ complicity in these atrocities by halting all military aid to Israel and demanding an immediate ceasefire. Words are no longer enough — there must be action to protect Palestinian lives and hold Israel accountable for its war crimes.”

Earlier today, CAIR called Israel’s daily slaughter of men, women and children in Gaza – with U.S. support – a “mark of shame” as the official, significantly-undercounted death toll tracked by the Gaza Health Ministry passes 65,000.

The true death toll is likely much higher than is known at this time with thousands of dead under the rubble. A study in The Lancet journal comparing obituaries published on social media with records kept by Gaza’s Ministry of Health concluded that the actual Gaza death toll was likely being under-reported by as much as 41 percent.

A secret Israeli intelligence database shows that least 83 percent of Palestinians slaughtered in Gaza were civilians – not combatants. Even former Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi acknowledged that more than 200,000 Palestinians have been killed or injured since the start of Israel’s Gaza genocide.

Yesterday, CAIR said Israel’s genocide in Gaza is “undeniable” after release of a UN commission’s report on Israeli war crimes found that they constitute a genocide.
