CAIR Condemns Israeli Occupation’s Massacre of 23 Refugees in Gaza Tents

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today strongly condemned the Israeli occupation’s slaughter of 23 Palestinians at the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, its latest slaughter of civilians.

An intense wave of Israeli bombings on central Gaza’s Bureij refugee camp left at least 23 killed and others injured. Israeli attacks on Gaza have killed at least 55 people so far today.

In a statement, CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad said:

“After expelling these Palestinian refugees from their land, the Israeli government slaughtered them in their refugee camp. Blowing up families sleeping in tents is a cowardly, sociopathic war crime that the Israeli occupation has committed again and again with American weapons paid for by American taxpayer dollars. The barbarity and sadism of the Israeli occupation’s war crimes knows no bounds. How much longer will President Trump, his administration and the world see images of dismembered children and burning tents before stopping this genocide?”

He noted that yesterday, CAIR said the Israeli government’s “mass murder on an industrial scale” must be stopped after Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that 54,056 people have been killed by Israeli forces and thousands of starving Palestinians stormed a US-Israeli aid distribution center in southern Gaza.
