The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the slaughter of 63 Palestinians in Gaza by Israeli forces and the Israeli government’s use of starvation as a weapon of war.
Israeli forces have killed at least 63 Palestinians, including 26 aid seekers, in attacks across Gaza since dawn. The intensity of the famine caused by Israel’s blockade of aid in Gaza is increasing, with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers in Gaza are “fainting due to hunger and exhaustion” according to UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini.

In a statement, CAIR Deputy Executive Director Edward Ahmed Mitchell said:
“The Israeli government’s murders of civilians through massacres and forced starvation have been a daily occurrence for the past two years. Everyday, the world is confronted with the evidence of genocide on a massive scale being perpetrated by Israel and yet remains inactive. History will not forget those in the United States and around the world who had the power to take action and stop these atrocities but failed to do so and continued enabling it.”
