The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the massacre of some 20 starving Palestinians after guards of the U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) reportedly threw stun grenades and used pepper spray at an aid concentration site.
Most of the death were reportedly caused by the stampede of starving people caused by the GHF’s actions.
So far almost 900 people have been slaughtered and thousands have been wounded while trying to access food.

Washington, D.C., based CAIR also condemned the seizure of the Ibrahimi Mosque in the occupied West Bank by the Israeli government.
Israeli authorities reportedly stripped the Palestinian-run Hebron municipality of administrative powers over the Ibrahimi Mosque and transferred them to an illegal Jewish settler religious council. The mosque was the site of a massacre in 1994 in which Israeli extremist Baruch Goldstein murdered 29 worshipers and wounded about 150 others.

In a statement, CAIR Government Affairs Director Robert McCaw said:
“Forcing starving people into a concentration area and then killing them is a level of evil and depravity that shocks any person with a basic sense of morality. The Israeli government has murdered nearly a thousand people as they desperately attempted to get food for their families, who are starving due to Israel’s intentional campaign of forced starvation.
“It is clear to the whole world that the Israeli government is determined to complete their erasure of the Palestinian people and the seizure of their holy sites, homes and land. How much longer will humanity remain silent in the face of these atrocities?”
He noted that the Israeli army has announced the establishment of a new corridor in Gaza — the third such axis Israel has carved across the territory.
