(WASHINGTON, D.C., 8/14/2023) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned a gathering held by a neo-Nazi organization in Augusta, Maine, and the hanging of a White supremacist banner in Belmont, N.C.
On Saturday, some 25 members of a neo-Nazi group gathered for a demonstration in Augusta. The members of the group wore masks and carried a banner with a racist message.
