(WASHINGTON, D.C., 9/26/2023) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned racist and antisemitic incidents in South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Idaho.
In Idaho, a group of students at Salmon High School reportedly took a picture of themselves wearing shirts that spelled out a racial slur and posted it to an Instagram account. The photo has been deleted.

“Our nation must come together in repudiation of all forms of bigotry targeting minority communities,” said CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper. “It is the duty of every American to actively challenge the growing hatred and division we are seeing nationwide.”
He said CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
