CAIR Condemns Racist Vandalism in Nevada

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned racist vandalism near Flamingo and Torrey Pines, Nevada.

Graffiti was discovered on a crosswalk and several nearby walls, showing messages of racism against African Americans. A Las Vegas police spokesperson said officers responded to a malicious destruction of property call and Counter Terrorism detectives and patrol detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.

“We condemn this hateful incident and thank law enforcement for investigating,” said CAIR National Communications Manager Ismail Allison. “No community deserves to be subjected to intimidation through bigoted acts of vandalism.”
