(WASHINGTON, D.C., 11/28/2022) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today expressed solidarity with the Liberian-American community following the distribution of white supremacist flyers in Fargo, N.D.
Last month, multiple people in Fargo discovered flyers on their lawns referencing the white supremacist “Great Replacement” theory and implying Liberians are a threat to society. The incident led to concerns about racist backlash in the Liberian immigrant community.

“Attempts to intimidate immigrant communities with racist propaganda cannot be tolerated in our society,” said CAIR National Communications Coordinator Ismail Allison. “We stand in solidarity with the Liberian-American community and all those targeted by racist hate.”
He said CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
