Ahmet Tekelioglu, the executive director of CAIR-Philadelphia, recounted experiences of individuals caught in the crossfire.

“Several people that I knew were on the spot when it took place,” he explained. “And they reported just hearing gunshots and just like, you know, taking cover and running away.”

With all this fear and uncertainty, there’s a big question on everyone’s mind: was this a targeted attack against the Islamic community?

Tekelioglu offered some reassurance, stating, “It appeared that this was not an attack on Muslims celebrating the Eid, which marks the end of the month of Ramadan, but rather, two groups that had some sort of feud.”
