Sarah Babar, special projects fellow at CAIR, called the federal grants cuts “heartbreaking,” adding that through the programs, students have gone on to enroll in colleges, pursue internships and find jobs.
“They not only come here with resilience but they invest in their own family’s futures by coming to these programs,” Babar said. “They’ve turned their own dreams into realities.”
