CAIR-Kansas Welcomes Missouri Theme Park’s Apology After Employee Asked Muslim Woman to Remove Hijab

The Kansas chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Kansas), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today welcomed a Missouri theme park’s apology after an employee reportedly asked a Muslim woman to remove her hijab, or Islamic head scarf, when she was going on a ride.

The Worlds of Fun theme park in Kansas City issued an apology statement and offered a Muslim woman free tickets and fast lane passes for the next time she and her family attend the park after an employee reportedly told her she had to remove her hijab to ride a roller coaster.
