On Friday, April 25, the Greater Los Angeles Area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, California (CAIR-LA) and the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), in partnership with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP), Inkerij, Project Islamic H.O.P.E., Kleiman/Rajaram, and the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California, will hold a press conference to address the failure of elected officials to take meaningful action against those responsible for the violent pro-Israel mob attack on pro-Palestinian student protesters at UCLA on April 30, 2024.
The press conference will also address the ongoing crackdown on student speech and activism at UCLA, as well as the failure of university leadership to take actionable steps to protect its Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim students, and the diverse group of student protesters calling for an end to genocide in Gaza.
