The Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI) today condemned the distribution of antisemitic flyers to homes in Berkley and Southfield.
The flyers displayed antisemitic rhetoric and symbols including Nazi swastikas. The flyers were distributed over the weekend. Southfield police officials confirmed on Tuesday that they were investigating the matter.
“We condemn the distribution of this hateful propaganda and thank law enforcement authorities for investigating,” said CAIR-MI Executive Director Dawud Walid. “We stand in solidarity with the residents of Southfield and Berkley, as well as the Jewish community and all others targeted with bigoted intimidation.”
He said CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
