(LATHRUP VILLAGE, MI, 5/09/05) – On May 11, the Michigan office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI) will hold its Fourth Annual Fundraising Banquet, with the theme of “Grassroots Activism: Protecting your Civil Liberties.” The event will be held at the Bint Jebail Cultural Center in Dearborn, Mich. Speakers include CAIR-MI Board Member Haaris Ahmad and former Army Chaplain James “Yusuf” Yee. CAIR-MI will also outline its work over the last year and its vision for the coming year.
