CAIR-MI Welcomes Arrest of Man Targeting Jewish State Officials

(CANTON, MI, 3/2/2023) – The Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today welcomed the recent arrest of a man who allegedly plotted to kill Jewish government officials in Michigan.

Michigan State Attorney General Dana Nessel, who is the state’s first Jewish attorney general, confirmed that she and other Jewish members of Michigan government were allegedly targeted by Jack Eugene Carpenter III. Law enforcement officials stated that Carpenter, on his arrest, was in possession of several weapons including rifles, shotguns, and handguns.
