CAIR-MN Condemns Distribution of White Supremacist Propaganda in Columbia Heights

The Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the distribution of White supremacist propaganda to homes in Columbia Heights.

Flyers were reportedly tossed from car windows in plastic bags filled with birdseed. The flyers promoted membership in a white supremacist organization. They first began appearing on August 4.

“Materials promoting racism and white supremacy are unwelcome in Minnesota and will fail to intimidate our diverse communities,” said CAIR-MN Executive Director Jaylani Hussein. “Minnesotans stand united in repudiation of the hate propaganda promoted by those who seek to divide our state and nation.”

He said CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
