CAIR-NJ: Muslims Teens Killed By Drunk Driver

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 5/9/2006) – On Wednesday, May 10, the New Jersey office of Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NJ) and Mother’s Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) will hold a press conference to call on the Morris County prosecutors to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law a drunk driver who killed two Muslim teens.

The two cousins, Mayada Jafar, 15, and Athear Jafar, 16, were both killed in April while they were walking on the sidewalk at Kinnelon Road in Kinnelon, NJ. The driver hit them head on and was later found by the police to be intoxicated.
