(SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ, 6/4/2021) – Today and this weekend, the New Jersey chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NJ) will join a number of rallies, protests and other events planned to take place in North Jersey in support of Palestine and the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement. CAIR-NJ is calling on members of the New Jersey Muslim community and all New Jerseyans to attend rallies in support of Palestine and BLM.
March for Palestine
When: Friday, June 4th 5 p.m.
Where: Hinds Plaza Princeton, NJ
Racial & social justice rally
When: Saturday, June 5, 12 p.m.
Where: 79th Street and Bergenline Avenue, North Bergen.
Palestine Teach-in & Rally
When: Sunday, June 6, from 2-5 p.m.
Where: Jubilee Park in Clifton (1355 Clifton Ave.)
Block the Boat NYC: Boycott Apartheid Israel
When: Sunday, June 6. Attendees are asked to gather at 6:30 a.m. but the picket’s start time depends on the ship’s arrival.
Where: Maher Terminal in Elizabeth. (1210 Corbin St.).

In a statement, CAIR-NJ Executive Director Selaedin Maksut said:
“New Jerseyans from across the state — of all religious and racial backgrounds — are standing up for Palestinian rights. In a collective voice, they are calling on New Jersey’s elected officials to stop sending our tax dollars to Israel, and for our government to take a more active role in bringing an end to Israeli aggression against indigenous Palestinians.”
