On April 24 and 25, 2025, CAIR traveled to Arkansas to deliver “Know Your Rights” presentations regarding travel and law enforcement interactions to a local Muslim Student Association (MSA) and mosque.
The mosque event was attended by 60+ community members who had dozens of questions answered, ranging from rights they have at the border to how to respond during a traffic stop.
CAIR was honored to serve this community, including many international students and other vulnerable groups. CAIR offers a host of in-person and virtual workshops for communities all over the country.
Below are some of the available workshop topics:
• “Know Your Rights” – An interactive workshop for the Muslim community with one of CAIR’s attorneys, covering rights as employees, students, travelers, or when interacting with law enforcement/FBI agents.
• Anti-Bullying – A session defining identity-based bullying and introducing prevention and response strategies. This can be delivered in two formats: one for Muslim youth and another for their parents/adult allies.
• “Working with the Media” – A workshop for community leaders and activists providing tools and skillsets for media interviews and addressing tough issues effectively.
• Civic Engagement Training – A session equipping community leaders and activists with the skills to engage positively with local government and law enforcement.
