The Constitution has not changed. What has changed is that some self-appointed religious police now believe the political climate gives them permission to try again to claim they are empowered to place their personal conditions on American freedom. They are wrong, legally, historically and ethically.
Oklahoma taxpayers already footed the bill for a politician’s misadventure into banning the world’s second-largest religion in the state.
They should not have to pay the price for such unconstitutional folly a second time.
