CAIR-Pittsburgh Condemns Distribution of White Supremacist Propaganda in Franklin County

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the distribution of white supremacist propaganda pamphlets at homes in Franklin County, Pennsylvania.

Last week, CAIR’s national office similarly condemned the distribution of white supremacist propaganda in Wisconsin and Montana

In a statement, CAIR-Pittsburgh Executive Director Christine Mohamed said:

“We strongly condemn the distribution of white supremacist propaganda in Franklin County. These vile messages are intended to intimidate and divide our communities, but they will not succeed. The people of Pennsylvania—regardless of race, religion, or background—deserve to live in peace and without fear of racist intimidation. We call on community leaders and elected officials to speak out clearly against white supremacy and all other forms of hate.”

Mohamed urged community members who encounter hate incidents to report them to local authorities and to CAIR at: https://www.cair.com/report

She said Washington, D.C., based CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.

CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.

La misión de CAIR es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
