CAIR-Pittsburgh Expresses Solidarity with Jewish Community Being Harassed Near Temple

(PITTSBURGH, PA, 1/19/2023) – The Pittsburgh chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Pittsburgh), a chapter of the largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today expressed solidarity with the Jewish community reportedly facing harassment near the B’nai Emunah Chabad temple in Greenfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh.

Jewish community members have recently been subjected to verbal harassment and antisemitism. Three incidents have been reported since the beginning of 2023, including one that occurred last weekend. Jewish faith leaders have taken the issue seriously in the wake of the Tree of Life tragedy.
