CAIR Says Biden Must Stop Gaza Genocide Being Repeated in West Bank After Israel Massacres 18 in Airstrike

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today said the Biden administration must stop Israel’s genocide in Gaza from being repeated in the occupied West Bank after an Israeli airstrike on a cafe in Tulkarem refugee camp killed at least 18 Palestinians and wounded many others.

In a statement, CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad said:

“The far-right Israeli government feels empowered to extend its genocide to the West Bank because of the total and uncritical support of the Biden administration for that genocide targeting the Palestinian people. This complicity with genocide must come to an end and the humanity of the Palestinian people must finally be recognized after decades of systematic dehumanization by those who back the Israeli apartheid government.”

Earlier today, CAIR condemned the Biden administration’s “racist refusal” to evacuate or protect American citizens and residents in Lebanon under threat of attack under Israel’s indiscriminate bombing campaign using U.S. taxpayer-supplied weapons.

Yesterday, CAIR condemned President Biden for enabling the murder of an American resident in an Israeli bombing attack in Lebanon.

Also yesterday, CAIR condemned the killing of 51 people, including infants, in an Israeli operation in Southern Gaza.

CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.

La misión de CAIR es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
