CAIR Says Latest Israeli Massacre of 52 Intentionally-Starved Civilians in Gaza ‘Part of Genocide to Exterminate Palestinians’

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today said Israel’s latest massacre of at more than 50 intentionally-starved civilians in Gaza is “part of an ongoing genocide aimed at exterminating the Palestinian people.”

Israel slaughtered at least 74 across Gaza today, including 52 people shot while desperately seeking food for their starving families. At least eight more Palestinians, including a child, died over the past 24-hours as a result of Israel’s campaign of forced starvation. Israeli forces have murdered more than 61,000 people in Gaza, mostly women and children.

Yesterday, CAIR called on educational institutions in the United States and worldwide to speak out against the Gaza genocide after UNICEF reported that Israeli forces slaughter a “classroom” of children every day.

In a statement, CAIR said:

“Israel’s cold-blooded massacre of civilians struggling to survive its man-made famine is not just a war crime — it is part of an ongoing genocide aimed at exterminating the Palestinian people.

“The Trump administration and other enablers of Israel’s genocide must stop looking away and must instead take action to stop the forced starvation, slaughter, destruction and ethnic cleansing. Our government has a moral and strategic obligation to end its complicity in these atrocities.

“Congress and the Trump administration must take immediate steps to halt all military aid to Israel and demand an end to the genocide in Gaza.”

Earlier today, CAIR called on the Trump administration and Congress to take immediate action to stop Israel’s announced plan to occupy the Gaza Strip and annex the West Bank, before the two-state solution is permanently destroyed.
