(WASHINGTON D.C., 10/25/2021) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today welcomed the resignation of a University of Montana professor who expressed Islamophobic and sexist views in blog posts.
Earlier this month, CAIR welcomed an investigation by the university of the professor’s blog posts, in which he reportedly said that religious Muslims could not be peaceful and that women “lose value” after age 16. This week, the professor resigned from his position, stating that he didn’t believe the investigation was being handled with “objective due process.”
